Finding and compiling data for a researcher in MSU’s Department of Community of
Sustainability to help facilitate their various research projects. I began working with this
researcher in November 2019 and this collaboration has continued through March 2020.
Examples of data requested include city and county-level information regarding income,
poverty, race, housing vacancy rates, food security, public assistance recipients, and
suburban migration to show “white flight” for a time period of 1940-present. As an expert
in finding government produced data, I am able to leverage my skills to provide this
researcher with the data they need, so they can focus on analyzing and synthesizing the
provided data.

Continued to assist a researcher MSU’s Department of Community of Sustainability with
finding Census and related data for their research projects. I began working with this
