In January 2018, I became a moderator for the govdoc listserv (GOVDOC-L). Because
of the nature of government information, this listserv is moderated to ensure that inappropriate
messages are not posted. As a moderator, I am responsible for my assigned month to review
each message before either approving it and posting it to the listserv or rejecting it and
contacting the sender so that they can amend their message to meet the listserv’s
requirements. I am also assigned a month to receive listserv error reports, such as mail delivery
failures or issues related to senders trying unsuccessfully to post messages. I monitored errors
for the month of January 2018 and I served as moderator for February 2018.
